We aim to link communities and individual artists through the making and sharing of Physical Postcards. You can get involved as a dancer, film-maker, writer, choreographer, musician or artist. Whatever your medium read on to see how you could be a part of the growing Physical Postcards community.

Come to a workshop
These workshops aim to offer a creative stimulus for your own work and a chance to dance and make your own Physical Postcard.

Work alongside professional film-maker Brett Harvey
By joining the regular sessions you will also have a chance to work with film-maker Brett Harvey. Your postcard will be captured on film as a lasting memory and beautiful message to treasure and share.

creative but not a dancer?
If you are a musician, writer, film-maker or artist there are many opportunities to be a part of the Physical Postcards.
Simply get in touch with your name and the art form you work in, where you are based and how you would like to get involved. For example you might be interested in creating some music to accompany a danced message, or simply a musical postcard which links to a landscape but doesn’t feature dance. Perhaps you lead an arts group and are keen to get some ideas as to how you can explore the theme of Physical Postcards; maybe you are interested in collaborating with a dancer as a film-maker, writer or costume designer.
workshops
one to one
We can work with you as an individual to help you choreograph your personal danced message. This message can be sent (danced) in an outside location of your choice and captured on film to be shared with others via our online Gallery.
Cost: £30 per session
group sessions
We can come and work with your group, whether you are the WI, a youth group, Young Farmers Club, dance school or in a residential home, these sessions will be devised to suit your bespoke needs and offer a fun and creative chance to choreograph a Physical Postcard to share with others.
Cost: £45 per hour
regular sessions
These sessions will offer you ideas and creative movement to help you make your Physical Postcard – a danced message. As well as helping to develop your confidence in creating movement these sessions are also a great opportunity to meet with others. At the end of the course your Postcard can be filmed and added to our online gallery. For details of forthcoming sessions please see our Project Calendar.
